琼瑶的言情小说给一代人，甚至两代人留下了深刻的印象和回忆。但是，陈喆本人的三观，在台湾，甚至港台，争议很大。其本人可算著名作家了，但是离文学家的“家”字号，尚有距离，因此鲜有人称呼她为“先生”的，她本人亦不喜被人如此称呼她。
