上世纪70年代全国农业学大寨，大兴农田水利基本建设，农民肩挑背扛，修筑了“井”字型的水渠。整个片区最低处在西南角处，当时修了一条倒虹管穿越汉南河，顺着袁市变电站东边修了一条明渠至318国道（目前这条明渠依然存在），顺318国道北边往西，在袁市富迪附近往南穿越318后顺着国道南沿自流入通顺河。
当初可是早涝保收的良田呀！
可惜后期袁市街道将东西向的这一段填埋了。
